GetMax G12 Review: A Compact Yet Powerful Android TV Box！

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a TV box, but the GetMax G12 truly impressed me. Though slightly pricey, it delivers performance and usability that make it well worth the investment.

The first thing that caught my attention was its compact and sleek design — it fits perfectly beside any TV setup without taking up space. Inside the box, you’ll find the main unit, HDMI cable, Japan-compatible power adapter, remote control, and a detailed Japanese manual, which shows how carefully the product has been localized.

Under the hood, the G12 runs Android 12, equipped with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and 8K output support. It also supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and features an Ethernet port and SD card slot, offering great expandability.

In use, it feels incredibly smooth. Apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video run perfectly. The highlight, however, is the Action TV app, which lets you watch live TV channels from all around the world — over 50 Japanese channels and many international ones. You can even replay programs from the past week, making it very convenient.

For movies and anime fans, the built-in VOD (Video On Demand) service includes thousands of titles, many with Japanese subtitles. Gamers can also enjoy classic retro games thanks to its emulator support.

While the GetMax G12 costs a bit more than budget boxes, it’s a one-time purchase with no subscription required. With its stable connection, fast performance, and beautiful image quality, it easily ranks among the best TV boxes available today.

If you’re looking to upgrade your home entertainment setup, the GetMax G12 is a fantastic choice that offers both power and simplicity.
